Guest Wi-Fi marketing for UK venues, on the Wi-Fi you already have.
WiFinger is Wi-Fi marketing software that turns your captive portal into a customer list you can prove consent for, then puts it to work: a review request the morning after, a reward on the fifth visit, a win-back when regulars go quiet. No new hardware.
Availability is published on the status page; service credits apply on Enterprise under the SLA.
In plain English
What is guest Wi-Fi marketing, and is it legal?
What is WiFinger?
Guest Wi-Fi marketing software for UK venues: a branded sign-in page on the Wi-Fi you already have, each guest’s consent recorded, and the opted-in list put to work with review requests, offers, email and SMS journeys and reports. Made by CLI Secure, hosted in the UK.
How does guest Wi-Fi marketing work?
A guest joins your free Wi-Fi and sees your sign-in page: a name and email (or a code or social login), the Wi-Fi terms, and a separate box to hear from you. Each visit is counted from then on, and only guests who opted in receive your messages.
Is guest Wi-Fi marketing legal under UK GDPR?
Yes, when consent is separate, optional and recorded. The marketing box is never pre-ticked or required, Wi-Fi works whatever the guest chooses, every choice is stored in a ledger nobody can edit, and guests who did not opt in stay hidden from you.
Three steps, and the Wi-Fi does the rest
How Wi-Fi marketing software works on your network
1
Connect your Wi-Fi
Grandstream GWN and UniFi connect with an API key; Aruba, Meraki, Omada, MikroTik and other routers use an external portal and RADIUS. A checklist walks you through it.

Brand your sign-in page
Pick one of eight sector templates, add your logo, colours and wording, choose how guests sign in, publish, and print the QR card.

Switch on the journeys
Review request, welcome, win-back, loyal-guest reward: turn on the ready-made journeys or build your own, then watch who comes back.

A template, a playbook and a page for each sector
Guest Wi-Fi for cafés, pubs, hotels, shops, gyms and venues
Demo sign-in pages on the sector templates. Every template is a starting point: logo, colours, photo, wording and the questions you ask can all be changed.
Cafés
Guest Wi-Fi marketing for cafés and coffee shops.
Your Wi-Fi is the most-used thing in the room. Make the login page earn its keep: a review request the next morning, a free coffee on the 5th visit, an offer when Tuesday afternoon goes quiet.
A digital loyalty cardVisits are counted from Wi-Fi sign-ins. The 5th visit sends a single-use “free coffee” voucher that staff redeem at the till.
More Google reviewsThe morning after a first visit, a short email with your Google link. Private feedback on the “you’re online” screen comes to you first.
Fill the quiet slotsSee the dead hours per site on the heatmap, then send a “Tuesday 2-4pm” offer to regulars who opted in.
Everyone joins the Wi-Fi; almost nobody joins the mailing list. Change that: a quiz-night reminder on Monday, a win-back email after six weeks, a review request the morning after, and replies to every review without the late-night typing.
Win back lapsed regulars42 days without a visit triggers a friendly email with a single-use offer for a quiet night.
Event nights that fill upQuiz night, live music, Sunday roast: send one campaign to opted-in regulars of one site or all of them.
Reviews answered in minutesGoogle, Trustpilot and Tripadvisor reviews in one queue with AI reply drafts. Complaints, allergies, illness and named staff always go to a person.
The booking site owns the guest until they log on to your Wi-Fi. From then on they can be yours: a post-stay review request, a return offer for booking direct, and a list you actually own.
Own the guest relationshipEvery stay can add an opted-in contact to your own list, not the booking site’s.
Post-stay reviewsA short email with your Google or Tripadvisor link after the last Wi-Fi session of the stay.
Book-direct offersA single-use code for the next stay, sent when guests plan their next trip.
Guest Wi-Fi marketing and footfall analytics for shops.
Online, you know every visitor. In store, you know the till total. Guest Wi-Fi closes the gap: who came in, who came back, and a consented list for the next promotion.
Welcome offer at the tillA first sign-in triggers a single-use welcome code, valid this week.
Footfall and capture ratePassers-by, visitors, dwell time and same-day returns from your access points. Hashed with a daily key; raw sightings deleted after 7 days.
Where customers come fromPostcode areas and age bands, aggregated: groups smaller than five are hidden, so no individual can be picked out.
Guest Wi-Fi marketing for gyms and leisure centres.
Members join the Wi-Fi on every visit, which makes it one of the most reliable attendance signals you have. Use it: a lapse nudge after three weeks, a class reminder, a review request after a good month.
Spot lapsing members earlySegments by visit frequency and last visit; a journey nudges anyone who has not been in for 21 days.
Day pass to memberVisitors who opt in get a joining offer with a single-use code.
Class reminders by SMSOnly to members with a separate SMS consent. SMS uses prepaid credits, so costs are known in advance.
Guest Wi-Fi marketing for event venues and attractions.
Hundreds of people, one night, and the promoter keeps the ticket data. Your Wi-Fi is the one touchpoint you own: capture attendees with consent, tag them by event, invite them back.
A list per eventA portal per event, or one page and a date-based segment, so each night becomes an audience you can invite back.
Early-bird offersOne campaign to the right segment with a single-use code for the next date.
Today’s programme on the sign-in pageAn announcement block with the running order, and follow-us links after “Connect”.
Fast on a phone, in your colours, in English, Welsh and 14 more languages. Guests sign in with a short form, an email or SMS code, one tap, or a social account. After “Connect” they see your message, a star rating and your review links.
Every tick box is stored with the exact wording, time, device and policy version, in a ledger nobody can edit. Guests who did not opt in count in your figures, but their name, email and phone are hidden from you and from every export.
Email and SMS journeys that run while you pull pints.
Switch on review request, welcome, win-back or loyal-guest journeys, or build your own from waits, conditions, emails, SMS and offers. Every message checks consent at the moment of sending; SMS runs on prepaid credits.
The morning after a visit, opted-in guests get a short email with your review link; everyone gets the same ask, never filtered by rating. New Google, Trustpilot and Tripadvisor reviews land in one queue with a reply drafted in your voice.
Guest Wi-Fi analytics: know who came back, every month.
New versus returning guests, busiest hours, opt-in rate and feedback, per site or across the group, plus a designed PDF report for the owners every month: statistics only, never personal data.
Works with your Wi-Fi hardware and the tools you use.
Opted-in guests sync to your email or CRM tool (Enterprise); withdraw consent here and they are unsubscribed there. Signed webhooks and a REST API cover the rest; Zapier and Make via webhooks — native Zapier app coming.
Marketing consent is separate, optional and recorded in a ledger nobody can edit; guests who did not opt in stay hidden from you. Hosted in London by CLI Secure Ltd, registered with the ICO.
Wi-Fi marketing platform pricing: one price per site, nothing per guest.
Plans from £79 per site a month for 1-2 access points, ex VAT, monthly with no contract. Every plan starts with 14 days of Enterprise, free, no card. Multi-site discounts from three sites.
Questions venues ask first about guest Wi-Fi marketing
Do I need new Wi-Fi hardware for Wi-Fi marketing?
No. WiFinger works with the access points you have: Grandstream GWN, UniFi and Aruba Instant directly; Meraki, Omada, MikroTik, OpenWrt, pfSense and most business routers through an external captive portal and RADIUS.
How long does setup take?
Add the venue, connect the Wi-Fi controller, publish the sign-in page and test it with your phone; a checklist shows what is left. If an installer manages your Wi-Fi, we can talk to them.
What happens after the 14-day trial?
The trial includes every Enterprise feature and needs no card. Choose a plan to carry on; do nothing and the dashboard turns read-only while guest Wi-Fi keeps working for 7 more days.
